What does it mean for you to reach a critical mass with something? How do you know when you're on the brink of a critical mass?
My mind is a veritable machine for pumping out questions. I always seem to have more than enough of those. When I go through stretches where I don't write much, it's as if I simply haven't hit a critical mass of words to write. That sounds silly. But sometimes I simply can't force it. There's some valve in my brain that allows my creativity to flow… apparently.
Some people talk about having a critical mass of followers on social media. I certainly have no personal experience with that. Some followings explode, but it usually just takes one random thing to keep new fans rolling in. Typically, I prefer the slow and steady method: build a foundation rather than amass a crowd.
What’s your take on achieving “critical mass?”
